Our Mission

The mission of the Western Massachusetts Veterans Outreach Project is to educate civilian community health and behavioral health providers about the unique psychosocial needs of military service members, Veterans, and their families, and to foster the development of systematic care for them in the western Massachusetts civilian community.

 

​While Veterans in Western Massachusetts veterans have proudly served their country, we strive to honor their service. Since military and veteran families have experienced their own rewards and stress during the Veteran’s service, we aim to honor their service and sacrifices as well. Our commitment is to offer educational opportunities, training, and provision of resources for medical and behavioral health care providers that help deliver effective and high-quality health, mental health, and social support services for military service members, Veterans, and their families.
