The Western Massachusetts Veterans Outreach Project works in collaboration with our community partners to plan and implement continuing education courses in our region.  These sessions are free and are designed for emergency medical technicians, first responders, physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, mental health providers, and veterans’ services representatives, and anyone who works with or helps veterans of military service and their family members.
 
In 2021-2022, the Outreach Project, together with Baystate Health, conducted a 12-part monthly series for area providers on several topics of interest related to military families and veteran health care.

In addition, the Defense Health Agency, offers Continuing Education and Continuing Medical Education accredited content to healthcare providers. The DHA’s Clinical Communities Speaker Series is designed to address gaps in learning related to the delivery of care for the military and veteran community.
